Our Story

Founded in 2014, Two Rivers Woodworks is a family-built craft studio led by Peter Purcell, creating timeless, one-of-a-kind hardwood pieces made to last for generations.

Our roots run deep along the St. Lawrence River in Northern New York, where our family sawmill began turning raw logs into fine lumber. Today, that same tradition continues on the California coast in Muir Beach, where Peter designs and builds each piece by hand, blending traditional joinery with a clean, modern aesthetic inspired by the landscape of Marin County.

Our Muir Beach workshop features local and sustainably sourced species such as Redwood, Zelkova, Acacia, Cedar, Claro Walnut, Black Walnut, and many more, carefully selected for their character and beauty.

At Two Rivers, we believe furniture should feel grounded. It should be built from real wood, with real care, meant to tell a story that endures.
